Publisher Description
Your personal identity describes who you are, who you aspire to be, or who people perceive you to be. The majority of us have been told in our lives at one time or another that we can be whoever or whatever we want to be, but what happens when someone else makes that decision for you without your honest consent? Typically in our society when someone's identity is stolen, there are a series of laws and agencies in place to remedy that issue; however, when it is the lawmaker that is the thief of your identity what recourse do you have? Who do you tell? Who can help you? Who will believe you?
Stolen Identity is a story about a young man's battle with a dysfunctional family, a faulty criminal justice system, and oppressive society to distinguish who he really is from who they have labeled him as and virtually created him to be.

A Must-Read Story
In Stolen Identity, RoShawn shares his experience of deep loss and great injustice at home and within his community and the criminal justice system as a teenager and young adult. It’s heartbreaking. He depicts how the criminal justice system with a foundation of white supremacy and racism is inhumane. And with his wisdom, resilience, and passion to help others, he calls on each reader to join him in action in their community. Highly recommend!
Stolen Identity
The path RoShawn has taken through the criminal justice system is compellingly told. An honest description of navigation through an unjust incarceration. A good personal narrative about surviving on this journey. Nonnapou
