Stone by Stone

An irritatingly hot detective. A kind doctor who wants more than a patient. An insatiable building developer murdered in a parking lot.

Things seem to be on the upswing for real estate agent, Elizabeth Candew. Finally over a failed second-chance romance with long-ago boyfriend, Detective Red Garcia, she's making good money finding loving buyers for historic homes in her quaint Connecticut town. She also has two healthy children and an ex who (mostly) stays out of her way.  

But hotshot builder Arnie Sprintenratt is increasingly getting in her way, razing farmland to make room for structures that erupt on the Stonesbury landscape like bucktoothed third graders in a kindergarten class. When Arnie ends up dead at an event Elizabeth attends with Brian Sterling M.D., her new old-moneyed beau, Detective Garcia resurfaces with questions. 

Which is just fine with Elizabeth, if she can look into those sea glass eyes of his without flinching. And, especially, if she can solve Sprintenratt's murder before he does.
