He adeptly handles the other character voices as well: sexy vampire Bianca; grim, gruff Council member Morgan; a nervous teenage pizza delivery boy; and upper-crust British Bob, a centuries-old talking skull. Pretty strong start
I would give it 5 stars but I’ve yet to see if this is the best these books can get although I’ve heard this one is one of the worst. That being said if this is one of the worst in the series it’s going to be a great time!
Brilliant, full of roguish charm.
I was loathe to come anywhere near this series due to it's television syndication. I am delighted to say that I was completely taken aback by the clever characters and completely sucked in by the rough knight in tarnished armor Harry Dresden is. His self-depreciation and stubborn sense of honor makes him a wayward hero I will enjoy reading about for many books to come. If you like this, look up Glen Cook's P.I. Novels. You won't be disappointed in those either.
