Good read
I gave this a 4* rating due to some long explanations that I call filler talk around food, other than those the book moved along well and was a pleasant fun read
Storm portal
Marvelous how you included education in the book. Cool focus on multiple levels of the public. Enjoyed the integrity in the interaction between the protagonists. Love that there was not horrible description of the antagonists retribution and always happy when when the good guys win, too for patriotism. Thank you.
Time is not an enigma but an adventure
I am drawn toward science fiction and do enjoy the overlap between our history, fantasy and a leap of faith to the belief that an author has foreseen a possible future. Stern has drafted a light-hearted tome that captivated my imagination with likable characters and an intriguing plot. I was, however, a little disappointed that Koppler or maybe other mysterious G-men, foreign agents didn’t try to disrupt the events in play. Another weak spot concerned the rescue, which seemed too trivial and lacked detail. Perhaps preventing Koppler from engaging in some nefarious activity like kidnapping Linda to force Fritz to do his bidding to change history, maybe to take over the presidency would have been more exciting. That story line would need more development or could be a sequel.
