The Storm breaks on Amargosa.

Davra Andraste returns to the resistance with her former captor as her prisoner. Now she will have to confront an even more implacable enemy, the human warlord Colonel Kray.

Laral Farad assumes rule over occupied Amargosa after the deaths of his uncle and cousin. He intends to exterminate the humans once and for all.
