Publisher Description

Action in the Hennepin County Municipal Court for personal injuries, property damage, and consequential damages allegedly sustained by plaintiffs, Eva Jane May, James Wilbur May, Jeffrey May, and Elaine May, arising out of an accident involving an automobile owned by said James May and operated by said Eva May, in which plaintiffs Jeffrey and Elaine May were passengers, and one owned by defendant Harry S. Lemmon and operated by defendant Linda Sue Lemmon. The case was tried before A. Paul Lommen, Judge, and a jury, which found in answer to special interrogatories that plaintiff driver was not negligent and that defendant driver was negligent, but that her negligence was not a direct cause of the collision. Damages were assessed at $4,000 for Eva May, $1,000 for James May, and $250 each for Jeffrey and Elaine May. Plaintiffs appealed from an order denying their motion for judgment notwithstanding the verdict and from the judgment entered for defendants.
