As the bombs rain down, the starship PROMETHEUS, and its crew of six, escapes a war-torn Earth destined to become a lifeless rock.

But the crew soon finds that strands are being deleted, that there's a traitor among them, a follower of The Chrysander, a rebel who had preached that humans had ruined one planet, thus had no right to ruin another. And as the crewmembers are murdered, one by one, the human race teeters on the brink of extinction.
