Publisher Description
There must be countless ways that a reader of poetry interprets a poem, and, equally, a viewer a piece of artwork. The original poetry and water colors presented here will hopefully inspire you just as their creation inspired each of the authors in the making of this book. Amazingly, we did not intentionally create each for the other. Instead, we took our archives of independent works and realized we were on the same wave length, so to speak. Some of the poetry dates back many years in A. P. Buntain's life, and also D. K. Burton's illustrations come from several years in her labor of love. Only four paintings were done to illustrate four poems. We hope the collaboration from our friendship allows the reader/viewer to freely experience his/her individual interpretation. Jump in! Enjoy!

Strange Meadowlark
This is a book of poetry so I was not interested, however, the cover had our state bird on it so I purchased and took a chance. The poetry is lovely, brief and to the point, universal and even I understood it. All of the illustrations add so much to the words in the poems. I can recommend this book. If you buy it, then you can say you read poetry!
