Strawberry Rose

Rose is nine years old—almost ten—when she spends her first summer without her parents at her grandparents’ lakeshore cabin. Along with their cherished dog, Goose, Rose spends time with her cousin and makes a new friend. Every day is full of fun, challenges, and surprises, from apple and berry picking to hiking, swimming, a huge dust storm, and a brush fire. With the support and love of those around her, Rose shows responsibility, develops courage, and has many memorable adventures.
