Customer Reviews
Great perspective of a battle where courage and commitment was greatly tested
Col. McNight has written a very informative book that adds much additional insight of a battle that most know as "Blackhawk Down". From his leadership position in the convoy he was actively involved in the battle itself and shares his thoughts and decisions made during the battle as well as reviewing those decisions afterwards. This is great information on a battle that tested our best soldiers and airmen against overwhelming odds.
Leadership 101
This book while depicts the events in Somalia it's main focal point is about Leadership. Col (Ret) McKnight is a true leader in the sense of the word. I wish that you would have made it farther in the ranks Sir but the powers that be (cowards) would not allow it. As a former commander in the 82nd Airborne Division I salute and congratulate you in all your success and I'm with you in all your sorrow, it's never easy the loss of soldiers. Airborne All The Way! RLTW!
