Customer Reviews
Needs edits, but enjoyable!
For the most part, I felt like this book had a great story and was a pleasure to read. I really enjoyed the completeness of the author's descriptions and the wide-eyed, vulnerable way Juliette viewed her world along with the development of her character. There were, however, a few things that majorly detracted from my enjoyment.
There is one passage that is very important to the plot that is repeated within a few dozen pages, word for word. In several places, pronouns were mixed up (she/her,he/his/him) and names were switched mid-conversation. Finally, the foreshadowing throughout the story seemed blatantly obvious... I was angry that the heroine took 350+ pages to figure out something I knew (not guessed, KNEW) from the first 20 pages.
