Stroke‪!‬

In January of 2017, a month after my seventy-third birthday, I suffered a stroke. I’m a writer, so I thought while the ordeal was still fresh in my mind; I should use my writing skills to record my experiences.
I had two motivations for doing so, the first, to set down all the events as they occurred and my feelings about them in some concrete, indelible form.
My second motivation was to provide support for stroke victims and potential stroke victims. To let people who suffered a stroke, know they weren’t alone in their suffering and to give potential stroke victims and their families some idea of what to expect should the occasion ever arise.
What follows is a firsthand account of the stroke and how it affected my life.
