Being a huge fan of L.G. Castillo, it was no surprise that I was engulfed in Strong & Wilde 2. With its realistic settings, interesting backgrounds (loved the use of 80’s music and shout-out to Say Anything!) and diverse cast of characters, I wanted nothing else but to keep reading.
The first thing that drew me into the book was the cliff hanger in book 1, Strong & Wilde. I just had to know what happened next. Book 2 picks up right where book 1 left off, without skipping a beat. But leave it Castillo to raise the bar on cliff hangers! The emotional roller coaster of Cassie & Cody’s story comes to an excruciating and tragic halt. I kept thinking, “OMG!! NO!! Did that just happen!?!?” Castillo made that chapter seem so realistic that my heart broke for Cassie.
When it comes to characters, I’d have to say that I enjoyed switching POV between Cody and Cassie; I feel it completed the story having both sides and perspectives.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Strong & Wilde 2 to readers looking for an engaging story about romance, friendship, and family.
