Structural Theory and Organic Chemistry

In chemistry, structural theory explains the large variety in chemical compounds in terms of atoms making up molecules, the order in which atoms are put together in molecules and the electrons that hold them together. Organic Chemistry is creative science that studies the structure, properties and reactions of compounds that contain carbon. We mainly study the structure, properties, composition, reactions and preparation by synthesis or by other means of carbon based compounds, hydrocarbons, and their derivatives. This one-term organic chemistry text is designed to help students see organic chemistry as an interesting and exciting science and to give them an opportunity to develop critical thinking skills.
