Summer at the Chateau Summer at the Chateau

Publisher Description

‘A Provencal sun drenched read that conjures up the scent of summer in France.’ Julie Caplin

A newly single woman. A tall, dark and handsome stranger. A chateau that keeps bringing them together. What could go wrong?

When Lizzie Summers is jilted at the altar, she’s left completely heartbroken. But then she receives news that she has inherited a beautiful chateau in Provence, and it seems like the perfect escape.

Upon arrival, she discovers she is now the proud owner of . . . a crumbling ruin. A decrepit chateau – with nothing but dust and a goat for company.

Intending to head straight back to the airport, Lizzie instead gets caught in a freakish summer storm and finds herself trudging through a vineyard for help. Bedraggled and furious, she enlists the help of her nearest neighbour, the enchanting Luc. Perhaps she should stay and mend the chateau – and her broken heart – after all…?

The perfect feel-good romantic comedy that will leave you falling head over heels. Fans of Katie Fforde, Debbie Macomber, and Susan Mallery won’t be able to put this down!

Summer at the Chateau

This story started out a little slow but i am glad I stuck with it! Lots of fascinating characters that i truly enjoyed getting to know. Descriptions of Provence triggered lots of memories from when I traveled there many years ago I definitely recommend this book.

Don’t waste your time

I know that romance novels are the biggest genre, but good ones are like potato chips—you just can’t stop at one. Even mediocre ones can still be fun. When we’ve read a zillion, we rely on whimsy, humor, real, relatable characters, and an occasional plot twist to differentiate them. (One of the best I can recall was so authentic and touching that as soon as I finished it, I started over.). This one was SO cliche’d, hackneyed, tired, it was a slog, and when our lead couple finally hooked up, it was, shall we say, lacking in ANY interesting description. Somehow everything was just effortlessly magical…. Read something else.
