Great Read
I loved this book. I read it in a week and loved it all the way through. Very few slow parts and overall I liked it very much. Hope you do too!😄
An Unknown Children’s Classic
I find myself disappointed not to hear Summerland brought up more in conversations about great children’s fiction. This novel is one of the greatest children’s adventures ever written.
Summerland is the perfect book to read at the beginning of a baseball season or a fine summer vacation. This was my second Michael Chabon novel, do also take time to read his Amazing Adventures of Kavalier & Klay.
Summerland is a little bit of Odyssey, Field of Dreams and Hobbit rolled into a marvelous tome of baseball and mythology. You will not be sorry for joining the Shadowtails on this incredible adventure.
