Publisher Description
Publicist to the stars Lana Honeywell desperately needs a vacation. Selling her engagement ring after her television star fiancé broke her heart, she buys a tiny house to spend a year-long break in Cherry Grove. She's taking four seasons away from work, romance and stress to get her life back on track.
Before Lana settles into the rugged alpine community, she raises the ire of her new neighbour and local grump, Len Wittington. When Lana discovers him murdered at the town's summertime fair, a long list of suspects emerges. A very long list – the man had no shortage of enemies and plenty of secrets.
But Len wasn't the only one with skeletons in the closet. Cherry Grove has scandals and drama far juicier than the plots of the television shows and movies in which her former clients starred. And a dashing park ranger who may just have Lana reconsidering her notion of a year with no romance.
When suspicion falls on Lana, she must take the investigation into her own hands. Can she sift through the local gossip to find the real culprit, or will her dreams of a year of rest and relaxation in her tiny house come crashing down?
Sunshine and Suspicion is a Lana Honeywell mystery novella by USA Today bestselling and award-winning author, Megan Mayfair.
This story first appeared in the Mysteries, Midsummer Sun and Murders cozy mystery anthology.
Customer Reviews
:)
Sunshine and suspicion by Megan Mayfair was easily finished in one day. i could not put my phone down because the story kept getting better as it went on. although i typically read romance and this is more of a thriller it was still a good story and did have the tiniest bit of romance. My favorite thing about the book was that i couldn’t seem to pick just one suspect. i believed that each person had chains that lead to the final suspect / killer. i do wish that there was a bit more about what happened to the killer after everyone found out.
Lake mystery
This had just the right amount of guessing/mystery solving that I needed for a break from romance novels. Lana made sure that she got to the bottom of the mystery and find the real culprit for the murder. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series!
