A little too much!
As a fan of horror as well as a fan of all things SPN, I just thought this novel was a little too much. Being a fan of the show for awhile I was never aware of the novels written behind the scenes. As seasons continue to unfold, this is my fourth SPN novel Ive read. Having been through all 11 seasons, it's nice to look back at the road that brought the brothers where they are today. As things tend to naturally progress and grandiose events play out, I've always enjoyed the simplistic nature of the Whinchester brothers. I like the story line of two brothers, fighting evil, under our very noses. I like the thought of while things do go bump in the night, there are people who bump back. We all are just too wrapped up in life to take notice. However, with this novel, everyone was very much aware and apart of the series of events that kept unfolding. The whole town, including law enforcement, was involved. Call me old school but I just like it better when things are hidden in the night. This novel was a little too much. It definitely went above and beyond with the gruesome tales of rats chowing down and insects busting a woman's stomach open. I guess as far as shock value, since I had to just scim some paragraphs, it was def there. I'm a little more of a fan that reminisces of the first five seasons. I like when it's all covered up to make it seem like if these events truly did play out, people would go on without noticing. I'll dive in the next novel with the same hope. Although, id like to say that the novel did really well pitting Sam against 'soulless sam.' As SPN fans of the show, I think ppl will really enjoy the roles against eachother, I did!

This was an amazing story and the way the author wrote the boys and the scenarios made me feel like I was there with them.
