Islamabad -- A seven member Bench headed by the Hon'ble Mr. Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, Chief Justice of Pakistan and comprising 6 other members heard Suo Moto Case No.24 of 2010 (regarding corruption in Hajj arrangement 2010). It is pertinent to mention here that the Suo Moto was taken on reports of different section of media including the statement of Mr. Azam Khan Swati Minister for Science and Technology containing the allegations against the Mr. Hamid Saeed Kazmi Minister for Religious Affairs. The action was taken and the notices were issued to different quarters including Mr. Azam Khan Swati Minister for Science and Technology to appear in person or through duly authorized representative to furnish the evidence if any to prove his allegations. The case was heard today and following persons appeared in the Court on Court's Notice:- Maulana Muhammad Qasim, MNA, Pirzada Imran Ahmed Shah, MNA, Mr. Bilal Yasin, MNA (Members of Committee of Parliamentarians), Mr. Afnan Karim Kundi, ASC with Mr. Muhammad Azam Khan Swati (Minister for S&T). Haji Tariq Mehmood and Muhammad Ali Khan (Applicants), Sardar Muhammad Latif Khan Khosa, Sr.ASC with Mr. Mehmood A. Sheikh, AOR, (for Minister for Religious Affairs), Agha Sarwar Raza Qizilbash (Secretary Religious Affairs), Raja Hassan Abbas, Joint Secretary, Muhammad Hafeez, Joint Secretary Muhammad Arshad, Deputy Secretary, (for Establishment Division). Mr. Muhammad Akbar Tarar, Addl. PGA, (For the NAB), Mr. Waseem Ahmed, DG, FIA, Mr. Hussain Asghar, Director, NCB (FIA), Mr. Muhammad Azam Khan, Director Law (FIA), Muhammad Niaz Khan, SI Police and Rao Shakeel Ahmed, former DG Hajj (in custody).
