Once in a while, you have a glimpse of the humanity in a narcissist. You have moments of enlightenment about him or her — this is why it is very difficult to leave. You keep remembering those glimpses or the moments when you see him or her as a human being.
Unfortunately, the moments of bliss do not last for long. The narcissism kicks in soon or later. You go back to the life of desperation hoping that you will have another glimpse soon.
To bring out the best in a narcissist depends on how good you want them to be. With him or her, it all depends on your expectations.
At the end of the day, there is a sense of disappointment when you choose to trust and believe in a narcissist. He or she eats at you every moment whether it is psychological or emotional.
When you choose to believe a narcissist — the saying is true — "You make your bed and you lie in it."
Narcissists don't want to work for stuff; everything is expected — even pretending to love is a trade and always conditional. He or she sees themselves as the victim of life. They expect you to understand their twisted view of everything.
There is a weakness in their design through — a flaw. You can deflate them by cutting off money, assets, and the personal connections that you build for them.
You are always their emotional sponge and punching bag at the same time. You do everything for a narcissist.
Remember that if you are in a relationship, a narcissist will want you to make all the important decisions but take the credit when things are going good and then shift the blame to you when things go unexpectedly wrong.
A narcissist will also make you do the heavy lifting if you are doing things together but then he or she wants to be the one in charge of the rewards.
It always feels like you are working for him or her — you feel like you owe them something — as you owe them for being in your life.
If have to be successful, a narcissist will always walk in your shadow when the times are bad and come to the spotlight and take over when he or she has the audience.
Take advantage of the moments when they feel weak, or shy, or lazy, and use those means to cut them off!
