I moved silently, avoiding the branches and leaves that would alert my prey. One doe raised her head and sniffed the air. I waited patiently. She soon turned back to feed, unaware of the danger above. I readied my bow, slowly pulling the string back. I said a small prayer, then I let the arrow fly, piercing her heart. The other deer scattered at the sight. The doe collapsed, motionless in a pool of blood. Once I made sure the other deer were gone, I leaped off of the bough I had been perched on. I cautiously made my way over to the deer, scanning the trees for any sign of movement. I saw nothing, but I had a strange feeling that hinted at something beyond the trees
