Publisher Description

Take control of your relationship with the power of understanding.  “Surviving Your Spouses PTSD” is book 1 of a powerful series written for Spouses of Law Enforcement, Police Officers, Fire, Military or family and friends who are searching for answers to the crisis created by Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or Injury. Although centered in the Police Culture this book is for anyone, including the officer who struggles to communicate with his spouse.

This book is not written like a text book or one written by an academic whom has never tasted PTSD, but from the officers perspective themselves. This should be the conversation you always wanted and needed, but never had. That talk with your spouse while sitting at the kitchen table or on the couch in the living room.  A heartfelt, honest and open explanation to help you understand what was going on with them at work, with the kids and with you at home. “This book is the Ultimate Guide to Police Stress at home.”

Cuts right to the heart of the subject

This is the best resource I have found on how to support my loved one with PTSD! The author provides credibility that others cannot. He too has survived traumatic events that impacted his entire life and family. You get real advice that can help you understand, it provides hope and offers tools that produce results. His explanations make you truly realize you are not alone. I can’t wait for the next module. I will buy it immediately! You will miss out if you don’t pick this book up!

HITS THE TARGET!

I can not say enough about how desperate I was to have someone confirm to me that I was NOT losing my mind in all that I have been living through with my husband. C.A. Sterling was ON TARGET! It’s as if he was living with us through each “trigger” he writes about. Right down to the exact words of my husband saying “I’m done.” The emotional disconnect of my husbands heart, mind, and actions are ALL explained here in this book and have truly comforted me right now as I stand so unsure of my families future. C.A. knows because he too has lived through this trauma. He speaks openly of what we, as wives, and spouses, are witnessing our husbands going through. This silent injury (PTSI) is like watching a slow death of my husbands spirit. With no ending b/c he does’nt even know there’s a mental injury in his brain that’s changed him and who he once was. He only knows how to take flight. This book has given me some peace and comfort in the darkest time of my life and helped me to understand the injury so I know how to deal with it and my spouse. Thank you C. A. Sterling. I pray ALL Police Dept use this as a hand out to all of those who put their lives on the line daily for us. PTSI NEEDS to be supported more within the Police Force communities.
