Her diary spans from the time just after the death of her college boyfriend—Cody’s best friend and hockey teammate Brian—until present day when she decides she can finally close that chapter of her life, both literally and figuratively.

Great read
While this is a stand alone, and certainly will take you on a roller later ride of emotions, it is really interesting to read this after reading the Sidewinder series. Suze’s point of view give you a glimpse at some of the events “from the other side” and it was very interesting. I read this in one sitting, couldn’t put it down.
So whiney
Ugh. I can’t handle female leads that are stuck - FOR YEARS - grieving a lost love, but never feel they need to see a therapist or specialist. This character was so typically woe-is-me. I skimmed the rest of this novella after the first 20-30 pages. And, happy I only spent 99¢ on it.
Rest of the books in this series are good; I’ve enjoyed them. But, I haven’t rolled my eyes at a character in book as much as I did in this one.
