Swanbound

The beauty of Tchaikovsky's ballet is reimagined in a rich setting of towering trees, vast mountains, and woe-begotten swans.

After abduction by sorcerer von Rothbart, Odette experiences the sensation she's transforming into a swan each day at dawn in a secluded forest with an enchanted lake. In the moonlight, Odette reverts to a human, but her experience by the lake grows increasingly more terrifying as whispers and the image of a woman in a black dress haunt her.

The hidden pieces of Odette manifest as the malevolent Odile, whose ambitions threaten to keep Odette a swan forever. Swanbound thrilled with its twisted bits of magic, psychological complexity, and blurred lines that reflect the dichotomy within us all.
