All new authors on the table, so mostly this is their first time except for CL Rain, Mikel Wilson, P Harlow.
They gave us a mixture of stories that was hilarious, out of this world phenomenon entertainment and a road to love. Each story was captivating and enjoyable. You should look into their work. Great stories.
Love with a body count
Sweethearts and Blow Darts is a fun compilation of six short stories within the Assassin U universe. Each story is written by a different author who also writes novels within the book series. Each novella starts the same, in order to graduate Professor Carn, who teaches covert operations 330, pairs assassins together in a final mission that the assassins must complete to graduate their university on Valentine’s Day of all days. I loved the learn to succeed together or fail together, especially with the added elements of competition, romance, action, adventure, and most of all a body count. Each of the six authors put their own special spin on the premise introducing their own assassins, targets, and missions. Each book was fast paced and easily held my attention. Even though the stories followed the same assignment the authors’ takes were so wildly varied that I couldn’t put the book down. It only took me a few hours to read all six stories. I originally read because of CL Rain I am a huge fan of her books and I loved her version of the story. I can’t wait for Romeo Ruse to release. I also have to give special credit to Harper Lynn. While everyone did an amazing job (I genuinely loved everyone’s stories as well as their other books) her take was so original and for it being her first published story I am so impressed. I can’t wait to see further releases.
