This a historical novella of adventure and romance . It is in two parts, Part 1, Kiskeya (Present day Dominican Republic) and Part 2, Boriken (Present day Puertto Rico) The first part is the story of Migua, a young Taino and Surani, his sweetheart. It tells of the dangers and hardships they endured before, during, and after the arrival of Columbus.

This was a great book. A must read.
The author has told a great historic fable with truths of the past that has been recorded in history. This story is accurate in is historic descriptions of areas and Taino culture. It's a beautiful love story and as a Puerto Rican I am proud to pass this book on to those others who wish to know the truth in a story type setting.
