Take a Hike

Marielle McKenna knows her life is about to change, and not for the better. She has worked remotely for the past six years but as of April 1st, she will need to report to an office building, along with a thousand or so colleagues she has only known through email and the occasional video meeting. Suddenly she needs a new wardrobe, but first, some comfort foods. Getting into a squabble in the express line at the grocery store with a man who doesn't seem able to count only makes things worse.

Borden Monroe doesn't expect his trip to the store for one jar of salt is going to result in an altercation with a beautiful brunette. Coupled with the fact his formerly remote job will no longer be remote, on top of the fact his parents have announced they will be moving into his condo with him, he knows his life is about to take a serious downward turn. Then on his first day at his company's building, he learns the brunette from the express line at the grocery store is a colleague working one floor below his, and he realizes things are about to get interesting.
