Take, Eat

One of the most important and least appreciated experiences of the Bible believing church is the celebration of the Lord's Supper. For some, it has become a rather empty ritual practiced primarily from a sense of duty. For others a flippancy has crept in the experience that borders upon blasphemy of this sacred service. The Lord's Supper was intended to be neither a ritual, nor a burden. It was instituted to be a blessing. The blessing can best be realized by serious and significant meditation upon its sublime symbolism prior to partaking of the elements. It is hoped that pastor and parishioner alike can realize that each observance of the Lord's Table is unique, important, and spiritually uplifting.
