An action packed thrill ride
I like that this installment of the series is totally different from the previous as we follow Doug, who was one of the first people to receive nanites and has since become a cyborg. Being Lisa’s brother, they tried to rescue him from the secret experimental lab in the last book, but he doesn’t think people will accept him anymore an refused to leave. Attie, Marlis’ sister is stationed on the flagship Icarus where the lab is and is pro Syndicorp all the way. When Doug promised he would watch over Attie he had no idea what that would entail. Watching over Attie, Twerp (Marlis’ lost AI), and the other cyborgs Doug has his hands full. Can he protect them all and not end up a casualty himself. The romantic element takes somewhat of a backseat in this tale, but still adds many “feels”. Great Read!
