Publisher Description
Epi Martin was an intelligent young girl on the cusp of becoming a mature woman. She enjoyed the nearly unquestioning trust of her mother and the devoted attention of Alfredo, the young man whom she loved and who in turn was entirely taken with her special charms. The future seemed safe and quite certain, until one day of irrevocable change. A short story. (May be unsuitable for some readers.)

WHAT?!?!?!?!
(* means alterations to the previous review. My bad. I'm sorry. 😳)
Although this book was good, I didn't like the cliffhanger ending. When I purchased this book, I wanted it to be a thriller kidnap-but it turned out to be a disappointing conversation with a twist ending.
I mean, of course the guy asking for help along the road is going to kidnap Epi! 🙀 Shocker! But what happens to the girl who so longs for her pasta sauce boyfriend, Alfredo? We don't know. 😣
This book was very conversational and not really a lot of action 🔫. I admit I was skimming through the book a little because I got tired of the conversation 😴. And as soon as I found what I was looking for, the book ended 📝. And there's not a sequel that I can just look up and read it from there! I have to completely be hanging from the last page! I'm left with questions like:
Where is Epi being taken?🚛
Why did he take her?💰
Why was Epi so conversational when she admits to hearing her own mother's voice warning her about strange men? 👩
I'm sorry if this seems harsh, but the writer did ask for our opinions and placed a 'Write a Review' button straight in the book so *he's kinda asking for it. 💭

To the author: Your work is good, but it needs some improvement. Some advice-don't leave a reader hanging when the book starts to get good. But if you do, make sure there's a sequel or something that takes away some, if not, all, of the suspension. Thank you for producing literature; I know it's hard to make a living of writing and selling books 📚. Keep writing and improving 📖.
