Taking Chances: A Sweet Military Romance

I received this ebook ARC, from the author, on the condition that I write an honest review.
This book was an emotional journey for Tommy and Abby, both have had changes in their Lives. Having known each other when they had attended High School, their memories are totally different, but they decide to resolve these bad memories.
Tommy is a soldier, who is experiencing a traumatic experience. While in the hospital, he meets a former high school student from his past. He is suffering from anger, and shame, from the loss of his leg, but meeting Abby, brightens his life.
Abby had been ridiculed, while in her youth, but changed her life for the better. She remembers Tommy, but her memories of him, are not good, and confronts him about how he had previously treated her.
Tommy realizes, that his life is worth living, and attempts to include Abby in his future. The couple have healed, and accept each other, with a possible HEA.

This was a sweet short story, perfect for when you don't want to get wrapped up in story that will take you too long to read, like right before bed (I'm notorious for getting wrapped up into a book & staying up too late at night). I would have liked to seen just a bit more information about the characters, but overall I enjoyed it.
