Tale of an Unruly Monkey UNCENSORED

The author takes one on a complete journey through the addiction to recovery process as seen by an unusual couple ; an unwilling lady with an unruly monkey. The story has been obviously researched completely and the information is not only in the writing but in the art as well. Speaking of art, the illustrations are mind blowing and make the story come alive! This alcoholic gives it 5 stars and a roaring golf clap. Beware you may not catch ALL the details the first go around, it is chock filled with many details you will miss the first time around.
You will be monkey- fied!

I cannot recommend this book enough. Honestly, it had me laughing in the preface. From there I only fell more and more in love with the witty and perfectly (and appropriately) crude writing and expressive illustrations. Despite the playful and melodic tone, this book captures a very real torment, and the advice woven in is both helpful and hopeful. For anyone traversing the hell of Monkeydom -- be it addiction or other forms of internal torment -- this is a must-read.

I love this book! I will tell you, you must read this again and again to uncover the many hidden gems of wit and poignancy the author has embedded throughout. The story is a journey in which you’ll encounter helpless love, hope in the midst of despair, glorious artwork, laugh out loud moments and times when you’ll have tears in your eyes.
This book is for all of us who have loved, and lost, and loved again. And again.
