I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
The premise of this book was a good one and I so looked forward to reading it. I loved the twist at the end. I totally missed the person's identity behind the kidnapping/murders. I did like the fact that the book was written in a dual POV format.
What I didn't like though seemed to really outweigh the good to me. First of all, the dialogue between the characters threw me off several times. I would have to go back and re-read entire sections to really follow it along. Also I really didn't feel the connection between the two main characters either.
This is the first time that I have read anything from this author and I was really looking forward to it. I don't know if this is an anomaly for her or it just didn't click with me. This isn't the first mystery, intrigue romance that I have read either.
I did LOVE the cover though!
Needed a better ending
***I received an arc copy of this book through Netgalley for my honest review***
I was really excited to read this book. This was my first time reading anything from this author and I’ve been wanting to read something of hers. I wasn’t a big fan of this book though. It was good and it kept me interested but I feel like the story was really slow playing out and then at the end it was like “bam!” It’s over. I would definitely like to try to read a couple more by this author. The book was good, it just needed a better way to end it.
