Jadine Childs is a Black fashion model with a white patron, a white boyfriend, and a coat made out of ninety perfect sealskins. Son is a Black fugitive who embodies everything she loathes and desires. Great Read…
Less complex than most of Toni Morrison's later works, but fully grasps the reality of the often neglected subject of black middle class women and the complex relationships they forge on a trek to upward mobility. This is one of Ms. Morrison's less studied works, but it is a great read!
