New job and dead bodies

This is the first of Nikki Haverstock’s books that I have read. Being the first few in the series, it was a great place to begin. Trying to move on from her former life, Di takes a job as a tech consultant and moves to an archery facility her bestie runs. Her first night there, she stumbles across the dead body of a former college teammate. Her and her new roommate, Mary decide to snoop around and see if they can solve the mystery. In the 2nd book, Di finds the dead body of a vendor at a Summit. When they are snowed in, Mary and Di begin workign the investigation before the police even have a chance. The chase of characters are great in both stories. Their individual personalities shine in each chapter. It was a fun book. My husband is an avid hunter so I am around bows and archery, but I had no idea what the world of competitive archery entailed. Nikki made sure to explain all the technicalities of it all in order for a clueless reader to understand. Can’t wait for the next adventure Di has. (less)
