In this tale Braenyn's lover Tarrow takes center stage as he relays his mysterious past for the first time to the elf thief. Tarrow's tale of woe moves forward the emotional bond between he and Braenyn, revealing how the shifter first used his powers to kill.
Meanwhile, Braenyn steals the most prized gemstone in the land, intending to sell it to the highest bidder.
