The focal point of the story is a group of children who need both Noah and Maggie to navigate their classroom experiences. A bright spot for everyone concerned is Rosie, who provides comfort and calm to the students during difficult times. In a variety of ways, Rosie rescues them all, but is a darling dog enough to bring Noah and Maggie together again?

Enjoyable read
I enjoyed the uniqueness of this story about an emotional support dog, Rosie, and how she interacted in the classroom. The connection between Noah and Maggie happens very fast but is quickly stalled by each of their pasts. Can they overcome this to move on? Each of the students in the story reflected different needs which made the book interesting. It was a sweet novella packed with real world info. Highly recommended.

Teachers Pet is another example ... being a nurse I know how important therapy dogs can be a blessing...

I am giving this 3 stars. I was disappointed with this story. This is a favorite author of mine and I typically am saddened when the story ends. Not the case here though. There were times when I was confused as to what was going on. Chapter 2 starts out with a conversation and it isn't until after almost a page that it is noted that it was a phone call. There were other times when I was completely thrown off as well. I really don't think that this book was up to the author's prior works. It is almost like someone else wrote the book.
This was written in my favorite dual POV format. I generally like that as it helps me to connect with the characters. That wasn't the case here for me. I felt a disconnect with both main protagonists.
These are my opinion of this story. While I really didn't connect with the characters or story, someone else may thoroughly enjoy it. I feel someone a lot younger than I would.
