Teaching Cause and Effect

I think this ibook is really a well-designed first attempt to launch the exceptional Strategic Instruction Model™ products for use by teachers and students alike. The fact that this is not available for other e-books is a drawback for accessibility, but I believe that this is soon to be rectified. The Teaching Cause and Effect program is set up very nicely and is easy to use. The videos that are provided within the program help to further explain the critical components. There are links to other helpful tables and documents. I think this is the beginning of further work by Dr. Bulgren and other extremely well-respected researchers and scholars of SIM™ that can meet the need of the ever-increasing trend of schools going "paperless".

Wow! As a SIM Professional Developer I love having the latest routine in the iBook format! It has been easy to navigate. The embedded videos are helpful as I visualize the strategy in action and will be tools to support PD sessions and coaching. The links to websites and sample devices keep all resources at your fingertips. My only suggestion for improvement would be to include video of the routine in action with students. Teaching Cause and Effect is a valuable addition to the Content Enhancement series and I'm looking forward to working with teachers to implement.
