Loved this one
Teasing You is the 2nd book in the Donavan’s Sweet Briar Ridge Series but can be read as a standalone.
Reid and Ashlynn have a rocky past, these old high school buddies get a second chance at love. Loved diving back into this series with these two. They are full of banter, funny with a slice of spice. The push, pull and chemistry was just right for them. While Ashlynn’s past makes her not trust people and push them away. Reid finds a way to get back into her life yet once again. Little did he know how he would need to come to her rescue. Samantha threw a little plot twist in here that I wasn’t expecting which gave a book a slightly dramatic and angsty vibe to solve the mystery. All in all great read. Can’t wait to read the next book in the series.
Engaging storyline and couple
I absolutely adored Ashlynn and Reid's story. Firefighter's are one of my favorite MMc professions, so I was excited for that right off the bat. But to also have them on the brink of a relationship and she's suspoected of arson, what a plot device! Plus, both characters are likable and easy to cheer for. I think there's an element of alost insta-love that usually turns me off, but not so in this case. Reid and Ashlynn are well written characters, as well, and I think thatas a reader I had a bit of that inst-love for them as well.
While only book two in this Donovan series, I think they could be my overall favorite couple from that (extended) family!

Reid and Ashlynn have a history going back to high school but his family never stayed in one place very long. Now years later Reid, firefighter has the opportunity to move back to the only place that felt like home, Sweetbriar Ridge. He sees Ashlynn again and finds the sparks are still there but she is accused of setting her former job’s business on fire and he wants to prove her innocence..
