9th Century Europe and Charlemagne has died. Louis I is on the thrown, as Europe disintegrates into chaos. Visit Constantinople, Lyon, Amiens, Chateau de Brest, Castra Regina, the Vatican and Singidunum in Serbia. It all surrounds an orphanage for girls, and their desperate search for meaning in a hostile and unforgiving anarchy. The Carolingians are trying to hold Europe together, when the Vikings descend from the North. I tried to make this as historically accurate as possible, aside from the obvious mystical fiction. Witchcraft abounds in the early Middle Ages, as War and rumor are equally destructive. Svart Haxa is Swedish for, the Black Witch. Enjoy
