Tell me About Lebanon Jeddo‪!‬

Written by Frida Anbar, illustrated by George Takla and decorated with amazing pictures, this story awakens the nostalgia of Lebanon. It is embalmed with its love and noble traditions. It also addresses the duality of the immigrant and ends with the wonderful song offered by Magida El Roumi: Biladi Ana.


Through tarnished clichés, trapped in the photo albums of his life before arriving to Canada, a Jeddo (grandfather) of Lebanese origin living in Montreal, tells stories of the old country to his grand son. Every Thursday, he picks him up after school and magic unfolds from the photo albums. Faded pictures come alive with colorful memories. Therefore, what will the child decide to do with the legacy of duality ?
