He hates the holidays. She lives for them. Let the games begin.
A small town, grumpy/sunshine romance from NY Times Best Selling Author Samantha Chase
Six months ago, Liam Donovan met the world's cheeriest, most upbeat woman at a wedding.
It was the longest two days of his life.
Now she's his next door neighbor.
Talk about awkward.
Tessa Sullivan believes in always looking at the bright side. Unfortunately, her new neighbor is the most negative man on the planet and seems to have made it his mission to ruin her good mood on a daily basis. She loves to sing, she loves to smile, but more than anything, she loves to decorate for the holidays. The fact that this seems to bug her new neighbor is simply a perk.
After twelve years in the Marines, Liam is more than ready to come home and start the next phase of his life. He's starting a business, reconnecting with his mildly over-bearing family, and loves the fact that he's finally got a place of his own. If only his neighbor's decorations would stay on her side of the property. There isn't one thing about Tessa that tempts him…until there is. Now she's all he can think about.
Being friends makes sense.
Becoming lovers was inevitable.
But having Tessa be his forever is more than tempting.

Tempt Me with the next door neighbor
Tempt Me by Samantha Chase, is a holiday story and book #2 in the author’s newest series, The Donovans. Tempt me is a feel good stand-alone series story (read this one if you didn’t catch Dare Me, but plan on downloading that one as soon as you finish).
Months after an uncomfortable weekend in a wedding party, Liam and Tessa discover they are next-door neighbors. Tessa is the town sweetheart because of her sunny, upbeat personality and girl next door … but the one who actually IS next door isn’t buying it. In fact, Liam, who recently left the military and is trying to jump-start his new life, is interested in coasting into a quiet life. With his over involved family and Tessa’s enthusiasm for the holidays, he’s questioning his decision to come back home.
After a few less than positive interactions, the two of them start to realize that they just might have more in common then they think and quickly move into the friend zone and then even quicker move into something more … something that sizzles and looks like it may have legs.
Amid all of this, each of them realize that they have more in common than they realize with the battles each of them are waging behind closed doors.
Tempt Me is a feel good, HEA creatively plotted story with realistic characters. Tessa is more than meets the eye and the reason for her upbeat and sunny personality will surprise you and have you catching your breath … just as it did Liam when she finally shared her backstory.
If you read Dare Me, you’ll be happy to know that Arianna and Will are featured throughout the story, as are Liam’s and Arianna’s family.
Download Tempt Me, brew a mug of tea, and snuggle down to read a fantastic story.

Loved this book
Tempt Me, is the 2nd book in the Donavans Series, but can totally be read as a standalone. This story is told from a dual 3rd person POV, and it has all the tropes. So if you love a good smalltown, grumpy/sunshine, ex-military, opposites attract, girl next door this is the story for you.
We meet Liam (grumpy) and Tessa (sunshine) the neighbors who can’t get along until the do. This enemies/ to lovers shows them facing insecurities due to previous life situations. Liam tells it like it is and Tessa is a happy optimist. But, surprisingly enough they read and understand each other so well. They have more in common then they know. I loved seeing them trying finding themselves, letting their walls down, and falling in love. Like they say opposites attract. As always Chase does and excellent job in showcasing the family dynamic. They are loud, obnoxious at times, but full of love. Can’t wait to read the next book!
Bo Peep meets the Big Bad Wolf, sound interesting?
Then you need to read this story!! One of my favorite enemies to lovers stories I’ve read in awhile. The way Tessa and Liam talk to each other is fun, maddening and also enlightening. There was a beautiful and believable progression to their relationship that keeps you mesmerized. I LOVED it!!
