Works as stand alone
Great story! Even though this was part of a larger series of books (none of which I’ve read) I didn’t have any trouble following characters and really enjoyed this book.
Stubbed my toe on typos
I wanted to give this book a better rating and I would have if there had been fewer typos, added words, and grammar errors. As a reader, I want to fall into the story but as I did, I was brought back to reality as I hit the errors. I liked this story and hope that the author will get better editing in future books.

The love story was nice but some parts too dark for me.
