Temptation

London nurse Beatrice Clemens is a hard worker and a pragmatist who uses what little free time she has to sate her desire for adventure by penning letters to her younger brother Teddy, a soldier on the Boer War front. Teddy has also requested that Beatrice write to his friend Captain Percival Carterton, to help remind the man of home, and what begins as an innocent correspondence between Beatrice and Percival slowly grows more explicit, until Percival finds himself falling for his scandalous pen pal.
However, when he returns from the front, Percival is shocked to discover that Beatrice is being courted by a wealthy, respectable doctor. And though she knows a marriage of convenience to Dr. Hyde will provide her the most secure future, Beatrice can’t deny that their distance did nothing to quell the deep desires that Percival awakened within her, especially once he makes it clear that he won’t let her go so easily. Instead, he hatches a brazen plan to win her over—and make it clear that she belongs to him.
