Description de l’éditeur
His last mission left him broken.
Now his past has come back to haunt him.
Tegan is an elite archangel so; commanding armies and ordering deaths is everyday business to him. When he’s handed a mission to gather intel on an emerging species, he finds his beautiful young partner a challenge he’s not sure he can handle. She stirs desires he has avoided for decades, and it forces him to confront a past he thought he had left behind.
Rhea has lived her entire life watching the mortal realm through a looking glass. It entices her and when she is offered a mission to go there, the innocent angel jumps at the chance. There’s just one catch. Higher powers want Tegan’s son and it’s her job to seduce the archangel.
Deception collides with fate as the two angels begin to unravel a hidden truth, only to discover they have been the pawns of providence. Events have already been set in motion and the human world is on a collision course with evil. They can’t stop it, but they can choose the one thing that will change humanities future. They can choose each other.
These are not your mother’s angels.

Angels, demons, and vampires, Oh my!
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Tempted by Darkness is Valerie Twombly's sixth tale in the Eternally Mated series, the one where Tegan finally meets his angelic mate, just in time for Lucifer to use his newest creation, the vampire, to capture her and use her to open the gates of Hell. With all the deadly demons loose on earth, Tegan has to try and save his angel mate, save the humans from the demon-borne plague, and save the vampires not yet under Lucifer's control. It's a tall order, but there are allies and friends in unexpected places to assist in the demon round-up. Tegan risks all for his one true love, but the price is steep. Sexy smoldering romance and bizarre supernatural battles vie for the reader's interest in this complex web of love, lust, and Lucifer-bashing. I got a little lost at times, probably because I haven't read the rest of the series - an oversight I'm now inspired to rectify.
