Emily Spencer's debut novel is a startling collection of fictional suicide notes, each one telling a story of a life that has run its course and has nowhere else to go. Inside these pages, we find a soldier, an artist, a bi-polar young woman and a terrorist among others. At turns disturbing, heartfelt, confrontational and funny, Spencer aims to set out a snapshot of modern day existence in America and the UK with a strength that forces readers to consider their own lives afresh.

Self absorbed drivel
I liked the idea of this book a lot more than the actual book itself. The characters (protagonists) all appeared a bit alike. Too much politics, opinions and not enough emotion
