The Wells family has tended the lighthouse on a remote Lake Superior peninsula for fifty-four years. It is expected that nineteen-year-old Lacey will want to carry on the family tradition, but what of all her girlhood dreams of life in a big city that teems with people, excitement... and a future?The only connection Lacey's family has with the "outside world" is the supply boat that arrives every two months carrying the basic necessities of life and oil for the lighthouse.
