The Galactic Systems Alliance thought they had the Phoenix Empire defeated with the arrest of General Zane in 2299. The truth was that they had retreated into cryogenic stasis, waiting for the right time to rise again.

They begin their rise to power in 2475, and until 2509, their second rising had gone relatively unchallenged due to political maneuvering. In 2509, TASCOM begins their fight against the Empire, hoping to prevent a war before it begins.
