Poet and musician Hilal Omar Al Jamal's debut release, terro(a)r is a collection of the young american author's experimental poetry and prose, fully illustrated by acclaimed visual artist Kristina Collantes. Al Jamal, whose work has been featured in several zines and literary journals, describes the book as a "phantasmagorical, autobiographical (mis)representation of a little life stricken with love or terror." Self-published in collaboration with Los Angeles based indie record label Folktale Records, terro(a)r is al jamal's first chapbook length literary release. 


Each of the author's poems are enhanced by Collantes' stark, fantastical full-page illustrations, visual pieces that evidence the illustrator's marked talent. A regular contributor to The New Yorker magazine, Collantes' work has been featured in a myriad of venues, including the New York Times and Vice. her contribution to this project is extraordinary.
