Surviving on the treacherous Iron Seas requires a heart of steel…but how can Yasmeen hope to survive when her heart has already been stolen by Archimedes Fox…?
Tethered along the south dock of Port Fallow, Captain Yasmeen Corsair’s magnificent new airship, Lady Nergüi, awaits its departure with adventurer and treasure-hunter Archimedes Fox. But this time, Yasmeen, a fearless mercenary who has always prided herself on a heart of steel, has reasons to worry when Miles Bilson, an acquaintance from Archimedes’ earlier smuggling days, sends an urgent message requesting help.
With a past marked by betrayal, Archimedes wonders what his former partner could want—other than revenge. Yasmeen fears that Bilson could threaten everything Archimedes holds dear. Though both Archimedes and Yasmeen love the exhilaration of veering wildly off course, neither is prepared for where there newest risk will take them…or what it might cost them.
Tethered was previously published in Heart of Steel.

Meljean Brook is amazing
another hit for Ms Brook. I absolutely love her. Her iron seas stories are so amazing( horde, nano agents, a world where people are fitted with steel, etc for work and life.) I love that she has wonderful characters, & even after their own HEA she keeps them strong and kickass, not letting them become weak women/men. I read an author where the female was strong, then fell in love & called her man Lover every 5 minutes and sounded stupid and sappy...I hate those books In Tethered Ms Brooks develops the love story between Lady Corsair and Archimedes, but in the perfect way! You have to read it to see what I mean. I would actually start at the beginning with her Iron Seas novels, although you don't have to...then you will see the amazing character development. The only change I would have made is wish I could have heard Bilson plea to be taken back aboard...I hated him and wanted to see him taken down a notch..oh well..
